Using Markbin
How do I create a new markdown document?
Click the "New Document" button in the navigation, then either paste your markdown content or upload a .md file. Choose a theme and customize your settings.
Can I password protect my documents?
Yes! When creating a new document, you can enable password protection in the Advanced Options section. This adds an extra layer of security to your content.
How do I share my documents?
After creating a document, you'll receive a secure share link. You can copy this link and share it with others. If password protected, recipients will need the password to view the content.
Can I upload images with my documents?
Yes! You can attach images and other assets to your documents. These will be automatically linked in your markdown content.
Is my content private?
Your content is only accessible via the share links you create. We don't index or publicly display your documents unless you choose to make them public through your profile.
Plans & Billing
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes! You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
Your documents remain accessible for 7 days after cancellation, then they'll be deleted. You can always re-subscribe to restore them.
Is there a free trial?
Yes! The free plan gives you unlimited documents with 7-day expiration. No credit card required to get started.
What's included in the source code?
The lifetime plan includes the complete Rails application source code, allowing you to self-host or customize the platform.
